Fred’s community involvement

As a 36 years Allendale resident, two term (2003-2008) Member of the Borough of Allendale Council, one year Member of the Allendale Planning Board, President of the Allendale Chamber of Commerce (2000-2001), and owner/manager of Allendale based Family Technology Associates, Fred has had a front row seat observing and participating in the Borough of Allendale’s municipal operations.

Fred believes, like the late Sy Sims, an educated consumer is my best customer.  While voters select their Mayor and six Councilmembers, neither voter nor their elected representatives has a firm grasp on the laws and procedures that regulate Borough municipal operations.fred-litt-2008-council-proclamation

Fred has been spent his entire professional career applying technology and document science to the gathering, organizing, and sharing of information.

Beginning in 1977, Fred joined Goldman, Sachs & Co. in the Investment Research Dept.  In 1982, he developed a global Investment Research document system that distributed GS documents to salespeople and customer around the world.  In 1998, he started Allendale-based Family Technology Associates, LLC, to provide technology support to families, small businesses, and professional practices.  Fred has served as Adjunct Professor of the Anisfield School of Business at Ramapo College, teaching course in Information Systems.

This project is intended to provide documents and resources for anyone interested to become that educated consumer that our community needs to provide a great resident experience.
